Goalkeeper Shay Given has claimed that he is hopeful of joining another Championship club on loan as Aston Villa want him "out of the door".
The 37-year-old came to the end of a 93-day loan stint at Middlesbrough on Saturday after Villa opted against extending the deal with the Championship outfit.
"It has been really frustrating not playing," the Birmingham Mail quotes Given as saying. "That's obvious for everyone to see and the window doesn't open until the summer, so maybe there is a Championship club out there who might want me.
"I might go back out on loan again somewhere before the end of March. Aston Villa want me out of the door, so something might happen."
Given has more than two years remaining on his contract at Villa Park.
