Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan has insisted that the club will "stick together" after two heavy defeats.
Villa were trounced 8-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before Tottenham Hotspur inflicted a 4-0 defeat on Lambert's side on Boxing Day, but Guzan has revealed that the club's management still has the backing of the players.
Guzan told the club's official website: "Losing to Tottenham was not the result that we wanted but we have to keep pressing forward.
"It's a bump in the road, but it doesn't throw us off the track. We know what we're trying to do here.
"We're still confident as a team and as individuals and confident about where the manager and his coaching staff are taking us. We keep looking forward and moving together and sticking together."
Villa have slipped to 16th place in the Premier League table.
