Aston Villa have confirmed that Chris Herd is currently unavailable for selection due to "personal reasons".
The Australian midfielder, 24, recently returned to fitness following a hamstring injury.
However, Herd will remain out of action "until further notice".
"The club can confirm that due to personal reasons Chris Herd will be unavailable for selection until further notice," read a statement on Villa's official website.
"There will be no further comment and we request that Chris's privacy be respected."
Herd signed his first professional contract with Villa in 2010 after graduating from the club's youth academy.
