Aston Villa winger Brett Holman has admitted that he is unsure why his first-team chances at the Premier League club have dried up since January.
Despite enjoying a successful first half of the season, the 28-year-old Australian has made five appearances for the team since the turn of the year.
"Personally, I don't think for me a lot, but I haven't really spoken to [manager Paul Lambert] a lot," Holman is quoted as saying by Football365.co.uk. "He's gone for a different thing and different way, but I can't give you an answer.
"It's frustrating, something I have to deal with. Every player wants to play. When you're training every day, training hard, it's disappointing when you're not playing."
Holman joined Villa on a free transfer from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar during the summer.
