Paul Lambert has backed Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker to bounce back from errors in recent games for Aston Villa.
Clark made a mistake which gave Manchester City a winning goal at Villa Park earlier this month, while Barker scored an own goal against Reading last weekend.
The Villa manager told the club's website: "I trust them. The good thing about those two was the response they gave us. They could have capitulated afterwards but they came on really strong.
"Ciaran was excellent in the second half against Man City and Nathan was great the time he was on the pitch after the mistake at Reading.
"I had a word with Nathan just to keep his spirits up because he was playing well and he has been playing well for a few weeks. You don't want one mistake to make him feel really bad about himself because he is young."
Villa face Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.
