Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert believes that Randy Lerner remains open to selling the Premier League club if the right offer comes in.
The American businessman announced his intentions to part with the club in the summer, but questions over whether he had a change of heart arose after Lambert was offered a new contract this week.
"If something did come in a month, two months, three years, Randy will do what he thinks is best for Aston Villa," the Daily Mail quotes Lambert as saying.
"If that is to sell it to a beneficiary who will make it stronger that hasn't changed but he's right on it, right with it. He's always loved the club. I don't think anyone should be under any illusion about that. He'll tell me things when he needs to."
This weekend, Villa will take on Arsenal on home turf.
