Leandro Bacuna has insisted that Aston Villa can take plenty of positives from their 2-2 draw with Sunderland.
The Villans were forced to share the spoils with the Black Cats on Saturday as Jeremain Lens's second-half strike earned the visitors a point at Villa Park.
Despite seeing their winless run in the Premier League extended to three matches, Bacuna believes that Villa should not be too downbeat by the result.
"The whole team is doing a great job and the manager told us after the game that we need to keep our heads up," he told the club's official website. "We didn't win the game but I think we are improving all the time. Sunderland didn't have too many chances. The two chances they got, they scored. That's the Premier League for you."
Villa return to Premier League action on September 13 when they travel to Leicester City.
