Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner has dropped his asking price for the club in the hope that the new Premier League broadcast deal will attract fresh interest, according to reports.
It has been widely speculated that the 53-year-old - who owned the Cleveland Browns until 2012 - is looking to offload the Villans, having attended few matches in recent months.
The Birmingham Mail claims that Lerner wants £150m for the West Midlands club, with alleged potential buyers including American outfit the Phoenix Group and a Qatari consortium.
It is claimed that the record new £5.136bn TV deal will attract interest, although no takeover deal is said to be close.
Villa currently sit 19th in the Premier League table.
