Aston Villa will pay Ross McCormack a near-£1m bonus if they are promoted to the Premier League this season, according to a report.
The 31-year-old has featured just twice for the Villans this term - both from the bench in the EFL Cup - having been loaned out to Melbourne City last September.
McCormack is understood to be on £2.3m a year in wages at Villa Park, which Sky Sports News suggests will rise by £700,000 to £3m if the Villans go up this month.
A £12m signing from Fulham in August 2016, the Scotland international still has two years to run on his existing terms.
During his spell Down Under, McCormack has scored 14 goals in 17 league appearances.
