Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish believes that his players need to show their commitment to the club by putting in dedicated performances in the final stretch of the Premier League season.
The Midlands side are seven points above the drop zone, with 12 league games to go.
"We are concentrating on results and getting the team up the table," McLeish told the club's official website. "There's some big challenges starting with Wigan at the weekend and players have to show on the pitch they are worthy of wearing the Aston Villa jersey.
"That's the bottom line every time they take the field. We want to climb the table and the next three games are extremely important.
"The key attribute we are requiring from those games is commitment, total commitment. I have always said if you show that total commitment the quality will follow. They have that quality. But that commitment has to be a must."
Villa take on Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium tomorrow.
