Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has been named as the club's player of the year by his teammates.
The 32-year-old is currently undergoing treatment for acute leukaemia, but had been an influential figure in the club's season before his diagnosis at the end of March.
"Sorry I can't be with you but I've got a little issue I need to fight. I hope you haven't given me this award because of my situation," Petrov said in a video message.
"I thought I had a quite okay season. But I think we all deserve this award because we've worked so hard this season."
Stephen Ireland was voted as the supporters' player of the year, while Andreas Weimann picked up the young player of the year award.
