Aston Villa midfielder Carlos Sanchez has appealed for the club's supporters to be patient as he looks to adapt to life in the Premier League.
The Colombian has struggled to produce his best form on a regular basis since joining from Elche in the summer, but he is confident of proving any critics wrong.
"I have no doubt there's much more to come from me," Sanchez told reporters. "I know where I can get to as a player, I will get better. I know that.
"I would like to ask the fans to have a little patience with me. It's still a little new for me.
"It's been a good challenge got me because obviously football over here is very quick, much quicker than the other countries I've played in."
Sanchez is reported to have cost Villa £4.7m after impressing in five appearances for Colombia at the World Cup.
