Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has praised Fabian Delph for helping them to a 3-2 win against Everton, describing him as the best midfielder in the country.
The 25-year-old was heavily involved at Villa Park, although it was Christian Benteke's brace and a third from Tom Cleverley that helped the Villans to victory, despite replies from Romelu Lukaku and Phil Jagielka.
Sherwood told reporters: "I don't want to go over the top, but Fabian Delph - there's not a better midfielder in the country at the moment.
"He breaks the play up, he carries the ball well and he can pass it. He's got everything to his game and he can score. He's got an array of talent. He's vital for us."
Villa climb to 14th in the Premier League table following their win and now sit two points above the drop zone.
