Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has emerged as the frontrunner to take over at Championship strugglers Aston Villa, according to reports.
The West Midlands club sacked former boss Roberto Di Matteo on Monday after he won just one game since taking the managerial reins in the summer.
According to The Independent, Villa are interested in Wagner because of his impressive work so far with Huddersfield, having led the Terriers to the top of the Championship table.
Former Hull City boss Steve Bruce is also said to be in the running for the vacant Villa role.
