Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is reportedly on the verge of signing a contract extension at the Premier League outfit.
The Scotsman's future was thought to be in doubt last season after the club came close to relegation, but US owner Randy Lerner has stuck by the coach.
The Midlands outfit are confident of agreeing fresh terms on a reported three-year deal with Lambert after opening contract talks, according to The Mirror.
The former Norwich City boss, whose side currently sits 10th in the league table, has 18 months remaining on his current deal.
