Aston Villa winger Andreas Weimann has backed loan signing Tom Cleverley to make a positive impact at the club.
The midfielder moved to Villa Park on a season-long deal from Manchester United at the start of the month.
Despite questions over the 25-year-old's effectiveness on the pitch, Weimann believes that Cleverley has plenty to offer Villa during the rest of the campaign.
"Tom's come in and will be eager to get going. He'll give us another dimension," he told the club's official website. "He's a brilliant player. He's played loads of games for Manchester United and England too. As a guy, after chatting to him this week, he's really nice.
Aston Villa return to Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to Liverpool.
