Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood has insisted that the players "need" support from the fans when they compete on home turf.
The Midlands outfit have only won three Premier League games at Villa Park this season, but Westwood has admitted that he still enjoys playing in front of the home crowd.
"A lot of people have said we struggle at home, but for me it's a great place to play," the Birmingham Mail quotes Westwood as saying.
"When the fans are on their day and getting behind us, there's no team stopping us. We need them. It's a combined effort. If we put in the performances then the fans will cheer us on."
Villa will take on Norwich City at home this Sunday.
