Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has revealed that he is confident that his side will survive in the Premier League this season despite "feeling the pressure" of their poor start to the campaign.
The Villans have not won in the top flight since the opening day of the season when they defeated Bournemouth 1-0 at Dean Court, which has left them in 18th place in the table.
However, Sherwood has insisted that his side can turn the corner once the host of new players brought into the club over the summer settle into the Premier League.
He told reporters: "I've been a fan myself. If you don't win everything is crap. At the moment I'm feeling the pressure. We're in transition and I expected a roller-coaster ride but I think we've deserved more points on the board.
"We've brought in players who are learning their trade in the Premier League, they will get better. At the moment I couldn't guarantee you when they're going to click. It needs to be sooner rather than later to win and take the pressure off ourselves.
"No one wants to be in the Championship and I don't think we will be. I'm having a difficult period with results, but I'll get through. The objective this season was to stay in the Premier League and 100% we stay in the Premier League. I've full belief in that.
