Aston Villa have reportedly decided to release Charles N'Zogbia's from the remaining six months of his deal.
The 29-year-old is believed to have been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Remi Garde, having made just two appearances for Villa this season.
According to The Mirror, N'Zogbia will soon have his contract paid up, which will allow him to join another club on a free transfer.
The report adds that the MLS could be the Frenchman's next destination.
N'Zogbia arrived at Villa Park for £10m from Wigan Athletic in 2011 and since then has made 63 starts for Villa, from which he has scored five goals.
