Aston Villa striker Darren Bent is reportedly open to signing for Newcastle United this summer.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Villa Park due to his failure to cement a place in the first team under manager Paul Lambert.
Reports emerged this week claiming that the Magpies are ready to make a £6m offer for the frontman, who is said to be keen on a transfer to St James' Park, according to The Journal.
Bent previously played under manager Alan Pardew while at Charlton Athletic.
