Aston Villa are reportedly attempting to convince Crystal Palace attacker Yannick Bolasie to snub a move to Middlesbrough in order to move to Villa Park on loan.
Boro were believed to be on the verge of sealing a loan move for Bolasie late on Monday night.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Villa have made a late play to sign the attacker, who is due to undergo talks with the Championship outfit's head coach Steve Bruce.
Bolasie reportedly travelled to Villa's training ground on Tuesday for a discussion with the former Premier League outfit.
The 29-year-old is surplus to requirements at Everton following the arrival of Marco Silva as head coach, and his career with the Toffees has largely been hampered by injury.
