Aston Villa defender Jose Angel Crespo has said that his agent is attempting to negotiate his exit from the West Midlands outfit.
After signing from Bologna last summer, Crespo made just two starts for Villa in all competitions before joining Rayo Vallecano on loan in January.
The Spaniard is due back at Villa for pre-season but he has suggested that a departure from the club could be close, as well as suggesting that he is keen to join PAOK.
The 29-year-old told SDNA: "My agent is one that could inform better on the issue of a possible transfer and what is going to happen.
"I do not know if eventually the transfer will proceed, but if Aston Villa accept a proposal that leaves them satisfied then I would love this option.
"It is a league and a country that I do not know, but I find the choice of PAOK quite attractive. I cannot say more at the moment. PAOK is a large group and, as I said, an attractive choice for my career personally."
New Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo is currently in the process of reshaping his squad after their relegation to the Championship, meaning that a decision on Crespo's future is likely ahead of the start of pre-season training next week.
