Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert reportedly targets Sheffield United right-back Matthew Lowton.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is reportedly eager to add Sheffield United full-back Matthew Lowton to his squad.

The former Norwich City coach is preparing for his first season as Villa boss and is keen to stamp his own authority on the squad with new transfers this summer.

It is understood that the Blades are willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old after the club failed to secure promotion to the Championship, according to The Express.

Lowton currently has two years left on his contract with Sheffield United.
