Aston Villa and Middlesbrough have both reportedly agreed a fee with Bristol City for Joe Bryan.
The versatile 24-year-old - who can play at left-back or in midfield - has established himself as one of City's key players, but just a year remains on his contract.
That has resulted in interest throughout the summer, and according to the Bristol Post, City have decided to accept offers of £6m from both Villa and Boro.
The report claims that Bryan must now decide his next move ahead of the closure of the summer transfer window on Thursday afternoon.
Villa have recently received new investment, and although the West Midlands outfit still face a battle to comply with FFP regulations, there is room to make new additions.
Boro have money to spend with Ben Gibson having linked up with Burnley and Adama Traore on the brink of joining Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Bryan could potentially decide to be reunited with former City teammate Aden Flint after the centre-back moved to the Riverside Stadium earlier this summer.
