Aston Villa assistant manager Peter Grant has insisted that the club are not looking to sell Nathan Delfouneso.
The 20-year-old, who recently signed a new three-year contract, had been linked with a move to Sunderland in recent weeks.
However, Grant has revealed that the management team are not looking to make any alterations to the squad.
"We're very thin on the ground with the squad as it is," Grant told reporters.
"Look at the weekend [against Bolton] - we were really down to the bare bones.
"We're looking now to just maintain the squad and it's up to lads like Nathan to make sure they're part of the squad and the team."
Delfouneso spent part of last season on loan with Championship club Burnley.
