Aston Villa have reportedly identified Brentford forward Neal Maupay as one of their priority signings this summer.
Villa registered a 2-1 victory over Derby County in the Championship playoff final on Monday, meaning that the West Midlands outfit will return to the Premier League after a three-year absence.
The club's owners are expected to hand Dean Smith a large transfer budget, and The Sun claims that the manager is prepared to spend £20m on Maupay.
Maupay and Smith worked together at Brentford before Villa made their move for the Bees boss late last year, but the 22-year-old still managed to end the season with 25 goals from 43 outings at the second tier.
Brentford have braced themselves for offers this summer, with the London outfit potentially having to consider a sale due to the Frenchman having just two years left on his contract.
