Aston Villa have reportedly identified Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson as a potential transfer target ahead of the summer window.
With his team currently on a five-match winless streak in the Premier League, Steven Gerrard is known to be preparing major changes to his squad ahead of 2022-23.
Strengthening in defence is believed to be near the top of the Englishman's priority list, and it appears that interest has been taken in a player featuring in Turkey's top flight.
According to Tum Spor, Nelsson, who has made 32 starts in the Super Lig, has made an impression on Gerrard despite Galatasaray's poor season.
The 23-year-old, who has represented Denmark on two occasions, was also part of the Galatasaray side which earned a goalless draw against Barcelona at Camp Nou last month.
While a potential fee is not mentioned, Nelsson's asking price will be significantly higher than the £6.3m that they paid Copenhagen at the start of this campaign.
