Athletic Bilbao president Jose Urrutia has warned any potential suitors that defender Aymeric Laporte will cost them £30m.
The French-born defender has been linked with an array of European clubs including Manchester United, while Manchester City are believed to have lodged an £18m bid with the Basque outfit.
However, Urrutia has suggested that any buyers will need to meet Laporte's release clause to sign him, which is thought to be around £30m.
He told reporters: "We are pleased that Aymeric is still here and we hope that he will stay at the club for many more years.
"He is a great player. So far, we don't have any specific offers for him.
"Laporte will only leave if he takes the decision and if someone pays his release clause."
The defender recently revealed that he is focusing solely on his football with Bilbao, despite continued speculation of a move.
