Napoli forward Fernando Llorente has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Atletico Madrid.
While the 35-year-old is still contracted to the Italian giants, the veteran is free to find a new club ahead of the January window.
According to Calciomercato, Atletico are contemplating an approach for the Spaniard, who is yet to make a senior outing this season.
Although Atletico have scored 13 goals from six La Liga fixtures, Diego Simeone is keen to further strengthen his forward line for the second part of the campaign.
Llorente has not featured in his homeland since scoring four times in 23 games for Sevilla during 2015-16.
Speculation regarding a potential bid for Llorente comes at a time when Atletico are expected to be open to offers for Diego Costa at the beginning of 2021.
