Atletico Madrid will reportedly consider a move for Valencia forward Rodrigo if Antoine Griezmann leaves the Wanda Metropolitano in this summer's transfer window.
Griezmann is said to have already agreed terms with Barcelona ahead of a move to Camp Nou at the end of the season.
According to Cadena Ser, Atletico are already preparing for the departure of the French attacker, and have identified Rodrigo as the perfect replacement.
The 27-year-old, who scored for Spain against Germany during the recent international break, has managed 16 goals in 35 appearances during an impressive 2017-18 campaign at Valencia.
Rodrigo started his professional career at Real Madrid before joining Benfica in the summer of 2010. The former Bolton Wanderers loanee then moved to Valencia on a permanent deal in June 2015.
