West Ham United defender Reece Oxford has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Atletico Madrid.
Since making his professional debut in August 2015, Oxford has been limited to just 17 appearances for West Ham, and the 19-year-old currently finds himself out on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Oxford has featured in just five matches for the German side but according to The Telegraph, Atletico hold a long-standing interest in the player and are considering an offer for his signature.
During January, the Hammers opted to reject an £8m offer from Monchengladbach, but it remains to be seen whether the East London outfit will change their stance in the summer or keep faith in a player whose contract does not expire until 2021.
Atletico are said to regard Oxford as a prospect rather than a player who will immediately feature in the first team, with the report suggesting that the versatile Englishman would go back out on loan should a transfer be completed.
