Atletico Madrid will reportedly reignite their interest in Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno at the start of 2020.
Diego Simeone's side were strongly linked with a move for the Spain international during the summer transfer window, although the capital giants were unable to get a deal over the line.
The 28-year-old is yet to score in seven La Liga appearances for Los Che this season but has provided three assists, in addition to netting in the Champions League against Chelsea last month.
According to Calciomercato, Atletico will reopen negotiations during the January transfer window in the hope of securing a deal.
Rodrigo has netted 53 goals in 195 appearances for Valencia in all competitions, while he has also found the back of the net on seven occasions in 20 caps for Spain.
Alvaro Morata, Diego Costa and Joao Felix are Atletico's current first-team options in the forward positions, with the latter arriving in a big-money deal ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
