Alessio Cerci has revealed that he is close to joining AC Milan on a season-long loan.
The Italian joined Atletico Madrid from Torino in the summer, but has struggled to settle at the Vicente Calderon - netting just once in nine matches for the Spanish champions.
Milan have since loaned Fernando Torres to Atletico and it is understood that Cerci will move in the opposite direction.
"I can't wait to be in Milan for a medical," Cerci tweeted on Monday.
The deal is expected to be announced on Tuesday.
