Colombian striker Radamel Falcao will complete a long-rumoured move to Monaco this Friday for a fee of £51m, according to reports.
Monaco have decided to hold off on confirming the deal until their end-of-season celebrations on Friday evening, where the club's billionaire Russian owner Dimitry Rybolovlev will officially announce the record transfer.
Falcao travelled to Monaco with agent Jorge Mendes earlier this week to talk terms with the Ligue 1 side and complete a medical, before returning to train with Atletico Madrid.
With a final La Liga match for Atletico against Real Zaragoza this weekend, Falcao is not expected to attend the announcement but has already put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the Stade Louis II, according to Sport 24.
Claudio Ranieri's side have been busy since securing promotion to the French top flight, with Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez and Ricardo Carvalho all signed for next season.
Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has also held talks in the principality and is expected to join Falcao in confirming a summer transfer later this week.
