Atletico Madrid are keen on convincing Diego Costa to sign a contract extension, according to a report.
The Sunday People claims that the Spanish outfit want the 25-year-old striker to agree on a one-year extension that will see him remain at the Vicente Calderon until June 2019.
It has also been reported that Atletico want to increase Costa's release clause to £41m in order to fend off interest in him from bigger clubs in Europe.
Atletico reportedly want the contract to be sorted before Costa flies to Brazil in the summer to represent Spain at the 2014 World Cup.
Costa has scored 21 goals in La Liga and five in the Champions League so far this season.
