Atletico Madrid captain Gabi will reportedly sign a new one-year extension at the Vicente Calderon.
The 32-year-old, who rejoined Atletico from Real Zaragoza in 2011, has made 42 appearances for his Spanish club this season, including nine in their Champions League campaign, which has seem them make the semi-finals.
The Spaniard's existing contract is due to expire at the end of next season, but according to AS, he is preparing to pen a fresh one-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2018.
Atletico knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage on Wednesday night and are also now just three points behind the Catalan outfit at the top of La Liga.
