Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has said that it will be up to Yannick Ferreira Carrasco to decide whether he wants to join Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang.

Dalian Yifang recently confirmed the signing of Jose Fonte from West Ham United, and Carrasco has also been strongly linked with a move to China.

The 24-year-old has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Atletico this season, but has struggled for consistency, and Simeone has left the decision on his future to the Belgian.

"This would be an important sale for us and it's a decision that is up to the player to decide," Diario AS quotes Simeone as saying. "Yannick is young, he has a bright future and has a big role to play for us, but we will now see if this happens or not."

Carrasco has scored four times and registered seven assists for Atletico this season.
