Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has refused to rule out a move for Fiorentina star Adem Ljajic.
The Spanish side have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old recently, although Simeone stopped short of openly declaring his interest.
With just a year left on his contract, Ljajic has been tipped to leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi this summer.
AC Milan have so far been frustrated in their attempts to land the Serbian international but Atleti boss Simeone said that he is still looking for new recruits.
"We are working on what the best way forward is for us," he told reporters. "Until the market is closed players could come and go. This is football and we are used to it.
"I do not want to talk about people who are not with us but Ljajic is a great player."
Los Colchoneros have already welcomed six new arrivals to the Vicente Calderon this summer.
