Barcelona will look to progress to the Copa del Rey semi-finals when they travel to Mestalla for Thursday's quarter-final tie against Valencia.

The Blaugrana enjoyed a successful outing in last month's home league meeting with Valencia, scoring five first-half goals on their way to a mammoth 7-1 victory over Carlos Corberan's side.

The Catalan giants followed that result with a 2-2 Champions League draw with Atalanta BC, before they returned to winning ways in Sunday's La Liga clash against Alaves, with Robert Lewandowski scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory to move third-placed Barcelona to within four points of leaders Real Madrid.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Valencia, who recorded a 2-1 victory in Sunday's home clash with Celta Vigo.

Dani Olmo

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury:
Possible return date: February 6 (vs. Valencia)

Olmo has sat out the last four competitive matches after picking up a calf issue. However, there is some optimism that the attacker could prove his fitness to play a role in Thursday's quarter-final tie.

Gavi

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Head
Possible return date: February 6 (vs. Valencia)

Gavi was withdrawn in the first half of Sunday's win over Alaves following a nasty head clash with Tomas Conechny. Barcelona have since released a statement to confirm that all his medical tests have "come back normal" although he will continue to be "monitored" by the club's medical staff. Providing there are no after-effects, Gavi should be available to feature in the matchday squad.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 22 (vs. Las Palmas)

Christensen was on his way back from a long-term Achilles injury, before the club announced last week that he had picked up a calf problem in training, with the defender expected to be unavailable for selection for around three weeks.

Marc Bernal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal has been out of action since suffering a serious knee injury in August. The youngster will miss the remainder of the season and will be focusing on returning to full fitness ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Like Bernal, Ter Stegen is expected to miss the rest of the current campaign after sustaining an ACL injury in September's La Liga meeting with Villarreal.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for Thursday's Copa del Rey quarter-final.
