Barcelona have revealed that Nelson Semedo will miss "approximately five weeks" after injuring his hamstring in Sunday's La Liga clash with Girona.
Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick, Lionel Messi netted twice and Philippe Coutinho registered his first La Liga goal as Barcelona thumped Catalan rivals Girona 6-1 at Camp Nou.
The victory has come at a cost for the Spanish giants, however, with Semedo picking up a hamstring problem in the latter stages of the contest, which will keep the Portugal international on the sidelines until early April.
"The club's medical services department can confirm that first-team player Semedo has suffered an injury to his left hamstring," read a statement from Barcelona. "Further tests carried out have indicated that he will be out for approximately five weeks."
Semedo has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this season.
