Barcelona winger Pedro has declared that he wants to fight for a starting place at international level.
Pedro, who scored twice in Spain's 5-0 friendly win against Saudi Arabia on Friday, thinks that there are a number of players pushing to break into the national side.
He said: "We have a strong group, where anyone is qualified to do a good job. Vicente del Bosque decides who to field. I will do all I can in training, and if I am given the opportunity to play, I will take it.
"Yesterday, mostly fringe players played, yet I thought it was a good match. We have many important players."
Spain get their World Cup qualifying campaign underway in midweek with an away tie against Georgia.
