Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has refused to make any excuses for his side's 0-0 draw with Villarreal yesterday evening.
The champions now trail Real Madrid by seven points at the top of La Liga.
However, Puyol is refusing to give up hope on Barca retaining their league title.
"There are absolutely no excuses. The players are used to playing every three days," Puyol told the club's official website.
"The team will react; we'll do more, whatever we must to win. La Liga is not lost. We will not give up."
Next up for Barca is a home match with Real Sociedad.
