Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa is expected to make his Spain debut from the start when the European and world Champions face Italy in a friendly on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old completed his first training session with La Roja on Monday after being handed a call-up to the squad for the first time last week.
According to AS, the powerful forward will lead the line against Italy, with support from Barcelona pair Andres Iniesta and Pedro.
However, Xavi, Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Ramos all missed Monday's session with slight knocks and are therefore expected to be named on the bench.
