Denis Suarez has revealed his delight after re-joining Barcelona on a long-term deal this summer.
The 22-year-old represented Barcelona B between 2013 and 2015, before making the move to Villarreal in the summer of 2015.
The Spanish champions retained a buy-back clause in the attacker's contract, however, and that was activated towards the end of last month following an impressive season at El Madrigal.
"I'm very happy to be with the best team in the world, coming back is what I've wanted since I left. It's a dream, I hope to enjoy it and make the fans happy," Suarez told reporters.
"My idea was always to return. I'm very happy to start this wonderful stage and I hope it will be very successful. I've matured as a player and a person and I'm ready to take the leap.
"I want to succeed here. Competition is always good. I'm here to fight for a spot and to play the most minutes possible. I want to play and succeed at Barca."
Suarez made his official Spain debut towards the end of May, but was not included in the travelling squad for Euro 2016.
