Deportivo La Coruna secured their La Liga status with a 2-2 draw at Barcelona on the final weekend of the season.

A double from Lionel Messi appeared to be sending Depor down, but goals from Lucas Perez and Diogo Salomao kept the visitors in the league due to their superior head-to-head record against Eibar.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at how each player performed at the Camp Nou.

BARCELONA

Goal

Jordi Masip: Brought in for his La Liga debut and the Spaniard stood little chance with either of Depor's goals. Was not overly involved and might have to wait some time for another appearance. (6/10)

Defence

Adriano: Started at right-back as head coach Luis Enrique made a number of changes to his XI. Proved a threat going forward, but was caught out on a couple of occasions in the second period. (6/10)

Marc Bartra: Has not played as many games as he would have wanted in the second half of the season and his evening ended in disappointment as injury hit in the second half. (6/10)

Thomas Vermaelen: Made his long-awaited debut for Barcelona and was nice and solid at the back. As expected, the Belgian tired in the second half and was replaced just past the hour. (6/10)

Jeremy Mathieu: Proved a real threat going forward and helped set up a couple of chances throughout the match. Can be pleased with his first season for the Catalan outfit. (7/10)

Midfield

Sergi Roberto: Has struggled for football in 2015 and in truth, did not make much of an impression at the Camp Nou. Neat and tidy, but needed to do much more in possession of the ball. (6/10)

Xavi: As expected, Xavi was the name on everyone's lips as he made his final league appearance for Barca. Was class personified in the middle of the park and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions. (7/10)

Rafinha: Set up Messi for the Argentine's first with a super cross and was involved in a lot of Barcelona's good work in the final third. Can be pleased with his performance on a personal level. (7/10)

Attack

Pedro: Has been given a nice run at the end of the season due to Luis Suarez's injury and the Spaniard showed flashes of his quality without making too much of an impression. (6/10)

Lionel Messi: Another game, another brace for Messi, who scored once in either half. Caused problems every time he picked up possession and was once again the star of the show. (8/10)

Neymar: Another player that has had a fine season, the Brazilian set up Messi for the Argentine's second and was a threat throughout the game. Did drop his level late on though. (7/10)

Substitutes

Douglas: Has hardly kicked a ball for Barcelona this season, but was given a rare appearance in the second period. Almost set up Neymar inside the Getafe box and proved a lively presence. (6/10)

Javier Mascherano: Was introduced during a period where Barcelona were wobbling at the back, but the Argentine could not prevent his team from conceding a second goal. (6/10)

Andres Iniesta: Only given the final five minutes, but the Spaniard's introduction was a way of giving Xavi the send-off and standing ovation that he richly deserved. (6/10)

DEPORTIVO

Goal

Fabricio: Made a number of excellent saves at the Camp Nou - including a wonderful stop to deny Pedro in the first period. Was a key reason why his team managed to stage a two-goal comeback. (8/10)

Defence

Laure: Found Barcelona difficult to contain in the early stages, but grew into the match and provided an outlet in the final third. Remained strong under pressure late on. (7/10)

Alberto Lopo: Used all of his experience to slow the game in the latter stages and remained strong under aerial pressure. Organised his back four when it mattered most. (7/10)

Sidnei: There were a couple of occasions where the centre-back looked to be struggling under pressure from the home side, but the Brazilian made a number of excellent clearances late on. (7/10)

Roberto Canella: Started the game quite shaky, but did grow into proceedings. Did not complete the first half, however, after being stretched off the field in the 39th minute. (6/10)

Midfield

Celso Borges: Provided some much-needed legs in the middle of the park and was prepared to put his foot in when needed. Had a solid final 30 minutes in Barcelona. (6/10)

Alex Bergantinos: Like many of his teammates, was a little overawed by Barcelona in the early stages, but the Spaniard eventually got a grip of matters in the middle of the park. (7/10)

Juan Dominguez: Neat and tidy in possession of the ball and was prepared to help his back four when needed. Was withdrawn just past the hour mark at the Camp Nou. (6/10)

Attack

Diogo Salomao: Worked extremely hard in the final third and got his reward late on when he found the back of the net with a strong finish. Ultimately kept Deportivo in the league. (7/10)

Lucas Perez: Has been Depor's best player all season and he was their best outfield player at the Camp Nou. Scored an absolute cracker in the 67th minute and was always a threat up top. (7/10)

Ivan Cavaleiro: Had a good opportunity to register in the first period after strong work from Perez, but the attacker could only turn his low effort wide of the post. (6/10)

Substitutes

Haris Medunjanin: Replaced Canella late in the first period and made a good impression. Was involved in his team's second goal and was always prepared to take control of the ball. (7/10)

Oriol Riera: Will have been disappointed not to have started in Barcelona, but made a nuisance of himself for the final 30 minutes and provided an aerial target in attack. (6/10)

Jose Rodriguez: Only given the final five minutes, but made one important clearance and was neat and tidy in possession during a period where Deportivo were sitting back. (6/10)
