Sports Mole looks at Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Girona.

Barcelona will be aiming to make it six straight wins in all competitions when they host Girona on Sunday afternoon.

Hansi Flick's side will enter the match off the back of a 3-0 success over Osasuna on Thursday evening, with the result moving them three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.

The Catalan outfit will quickly switch their attention to the Copa del Rey after this match, preparing to head to Atletico Madrid for the second leg of their semi-final next week, with the tie currently level at 4-4.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Girona, who currently sit 13th in Spain's top flight, boasting 34 points from 28 matches.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Christensen, who has only played once this season due to injury problems, has recently been on the sidelines with a calf issue, and it is currently unclear when he will be an option for head coach Flick.

Marc Bernal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Barcelona remain without their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22. However, the German is now back on the training field and making excellent progress in his recovery.

Marc Casado

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Midfielder Casado picked up a knee injury during the La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid before the March international break, and it is likely that he will now be absent for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

Pau Cubarsi

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: March 30 (vs. Girona)

Cubarsi was not risked against Osasuna due to an ankle problem that he suffered while representing Spain during the international break, but the centre-back was on the bench, and there is a strong chance that he will return this weekend.

Dani Olmo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Adductor
Possible return date: April 19 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Olmo suffered an adductor injury shortly after scoring against Osasuna on Thursday night, and the Spaniard will now be on the sidelines for approximately the next three weeks.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for the clash with Girona.
