Agent Vicente Fores has criticised Barcelona for not moving to renew the contract of defender Jordi Alba.
The left-back has spent the last six years at Camp Nou, with 238 appearances being made for the Catalan giants in all competitions.
However, Fores has claimed that Barca suggested a new deal was in the offing 18 months ago and that the La Liga giants have - so far - failed to hold negotiations over fresh terms.
Fores is quoted by Sport as saying: "Raul Sanllehi was still at the club when they told us not to worry, that they were going to call us to renew.
"We are still waiting. It's been a year and a half now. We don't understand anything, maybe it's normal for Barça or maybe they're not happy with the performances of a player included in FIFA's XI and who is the defender with the most assists in European football.
"There are two years left and we will see what's going on, but we're relaxed about it."
Barcelona last made changes to Alba's contract in June 2015.
