Marco Verratti's agent has dismissed suggestions that the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder could be on his way to Barcelona.
Reports emerged last month claiming that the 22-year-old was closing in on a move to the Camp Nou, as a replacement for recently-departed club legend Xavi.
The Italian international's representative, Donati Di Campli, has held talks with Barca presidential candidate Toni Freixa in the past, but he insists that no agreement was struck.
"I haven't seen Freixa, as was reported in the media, but I have spoken to him on the telephone," he told Sky Italia. "But I speak with a lot of people every day and it doesn't mean anything.
"Marco is absolutely calm, he is happy in Paris and has a long-term contract. Whoever wants him needs to get in contact directly with Paris St Germain and not with us. There's nothing else for us to add."
Barcelona are currently under a transfer ban, which was imposed on them by FIFA last year, meaning that they are unable to officially register any new signings until January.
