The agent of Newell's Old Boys defender Santiago Vergini has hinted that new Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino could bring his client to Camp Nou.
The 24-year-old, who is primarily a centre-back, is believed to be a firm favourite of the new Catalan boss.
"Martino really likes Santiago. As well as being a great player, he's also a terrific person," Claudio Curti told Todomercadoweb.
"We'll see what Barcelona need. There hasn't been any contact yet. We'll see what happens in the coming days."
Chelsea's David Luiz has also been linked with a move to Spain.
