Barcelona have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Ayoze Perez from Newcastle United.
La Liga leaders Barca are said to be interested in bringing in new faces to bolster their options in attack, and 22-year-old Perez could be among those in the frame.
According to The Mirror, Barca scouts have identified the Spaniard as a potential understudy to their star-studded front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Perez joined Newcastle from Tenerife in 2014 and has scored 13 goals for the Magpies in two seasons since, also signing a new five-and-a-half year contract earlier this year.
